We believe in empowering people to build a better future. There is a backlog of 50 million homes in Africa - a $1 trillion business opportunity. Many people think that this backlog is due to poverty - it is not. It is due to structural issues that can be overcome.
Empowa is on a mission to build a decentralised funding platform for affordable housing in Africa – a #RealFi application. Empowa is linking DeFi to real world property assets in the youngest and fastest growing markets in the world. A RealFi application has two legs - the crypto world and the real world.
To prove that Empowa can deliver affordable housing profitably on the ground in Africa, Empowa secured support from Project Catalyst in Fund 5, to deliver eco-friendly homes in Mozambique – one of the poorest countries in the world.
